Technical Business Analyst – Credit Decisioning & Lending Systems

Location : Remote - travel to Fort Lauderdale office every couple of months, expensed

Duration : 12+ Month Contract

Start Date : August

Position Overview:

Client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the transition of their decisioning platform as the move from StrategyOne to Provenir. This role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping gather requirements, analyze data, document business processes, and support the successful delivery of a critical enterprise initiative. This is a techno-functional Business Analyst role that requires strong analytical and technical skills combined with the ability to communicate effectively with business partners.

Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end migration from Strategy One to Provenir, partnering closely with the credit strategy team

Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements; facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder sessions

Translate business needs into clear specifications for technical/development teams

Analyze current-state and future-state processes and recommend improvements

Review and validate data (JSON/XML/SQL) to support business rules, reporting, and troubleshooting

Analyze APIs, integrations, and data mappings to ensure business requirements are met

Run and support product acceptance / UAT calls, system testing, and defect triage

Communicate regularly with a broad stakeholder group (~20 stakeholders) and represent the needs of a production user base of approximately 500-600 users

Required Qualifications

2-5+ years of experience as a Technical/Techno-Functional Business Analyst (candidates up to ~8 years also considered)

Experience in lending, credit, banking, consumer finance, or financial services

Solid understanding of the credit/lending lifecycle - how an entire lending or loan operation runs end to end

Working knowledge of decisioning software/platforms (e.g., Strategy One, Provenir, or similar credit decisioning engines)

Ability to read and understand JSON, XML, and SQL for querying and validating data (not required to write complex queries)

Salesforce experience

Strong stakeholder communication skills; comfortable running or supporting product acceptance/UAT calls

Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and production implementations.

Technical BA mindset - able to work closely with both business and technical teams throughout the SDLC.

Helpful, not required:

  • Experience supporting enterprise software implementations or platform migrations.
  • Experience with Provenir
  • Financial services technology implementations
  • Enterprise platform migrations

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a technical, hands-on Business Analyst with experience supporting technology initiatives within the lending or financial services industry. They understand credit decisioning processes and are comfortable working at the intersection of business and technology.

This individual is equally comfortable gathering requirements from business stakeholders, validating data using SQL, understanding APIs and system integrations, and partnering with developers throughout the software development lifecycle. While software development experience is not required, the ideal candidate possesses the technical aptitude to understand how enterprise applications exchange data and how business requirements translate into technical solutions.
