HR Advisor (12-month contract)
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to help shape the employee experience across our Retail and DC teams.
Reporting directly to the Head of HR, this role is a true generalist advisory position with exposure across employee relations, talent management, succession planning, WHS, performance and organisational capability.
Working alongside the Head of HR and our newly appointed L&D Lead, you'll play a key role in building leadership capability, strengthening talent pipelines and creating a high-performance culture across store and DC operations.

What You'll Do
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
Be the trusted advisor to our Retail and DC leaders, providing practical guidance on employee relations, performance management, investigations, workplace concerns and people decisions. You'll help leaders navigate challenges confidently while ensuring compliance, consistency and positive employee experiences across the business.
Talent, Succession & Workforce Planning
Partner with leaders to identify future talent needs, critical role risks and succession opportunities. You'll help build talent pipelines, facilitate talent reviews and support workforce planning initiatives that ensure the business has the capability required for future growth.
Performance & Talent Management
Drive performance review processes and support leaders to effectively manage performance, development and career conversations. Working closely with the L&D Lead, you'll identify capability gaps and talent opportunities, ensuring development initiatives are aligned to business and individual needs.
HR Advisory, Compliance & Governance
Provide expert advice across employment legislation, workplace policies, employee relations and organisational risk. You'll support leaders in making informed people decisions while ensuring compliance with legislative and company requirements.
Work Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Champion a safe, healthy and supportive workplace by leading WHS compliance, incident management and psychosocial safety initiatives. You'll partner with leaders to embed safety, wellbeing and risk management practices across the business.
People Projects & Culture
Contribute to strategic People & Culture initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, culture and organisational effectiveness. You'll partner with the broader People team, including the L&D Lead, to deliver key people programs, process improvements and business-wide initiatives that support a high-performance culture.
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years' experience in a HR Advisor, People & Culture Advisor or Generalist HR role.
- Strong employee relations experience, including performance management, investigations and workplace matters.
- Sound understanding of Fair Work legislation, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards.
- Experience partnering with leaders to provide practical and commercially focused people advice.
- Exposure to talent management, succession planning or workforce planning initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence influencing outcomes.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in retail, distribution, logistics or other multi-site environments will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline preferred.
