Business Improvement Lead
Location:
Thomas Embling Hospital, Fairfield VIC (with occasional travel to other sites)
Classification & Pay Grade:
Full-Time Ongoing – HS8 - $136,650 p.a plus Super and Salary Packaging
About the Role
Forensicare is Victoria's specialist forensic mental health service. We are seeking a hands-on and collaborative Business Improvement Lead to drive governance, process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives across our People & Corporate Services (P&CS) division.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with stakeholders to understand how services operate, map and redesign business processes, and ensure governance frameworks, procedures and documentation remain current, practical and compliant.
You will be maintaining and improving governance frameworks and process documentation within Promapp, partnering with multiple stakeholders and teams across People & Corporate Services group to identify improvement opportunities, strengthen compliance and embed sustainable business practices.
While the role provides leadership to the Business Improvement Coordinator, success will come from being actively involved in the day-to-day work—facilitating workshops, documenting processes, updating procedures, implementing recommendations and supporting teams through change.
What You'll Be Doing
• Work closely with P&CS stakeholders to review, document and improve business processes
• Facilitate process mapping workshops and update/maintain process documentation within Promapp
• Review and update policies, procedures, governance frameworks and supporting documentation
• Lead implementation of audit recommendations and monitor compliance actions
• Identify inefficiencies, gaps and risks and develop practical improvement solutions
• Support business units to embed consistent governance and continuous improvement practices
• Develop project plans, change management documentation and stakeholder communications
• Monitor improvement initiatives and ensure actions are delivered and sustained
• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Business Improvement Coordinator
About You
You'll be a practical and solutions-focused business improvement professional who enjoys working with stakeholders to understand processes and implement meaningful change.
You will bring:
• Demonstrated experience in business improvement, governance, compliance or process management roles
• Strong capability in process mapping and maintaining documentation in Promapp or similar systems
• Experience reviewing and developing policies, procedures and governance frameworks
• Ability to analyse business processes and translate findings into practical improvements
• Experience implementing audit findings and compliance-related activities
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trust
• Strong project coordination, organisational and communication skills
• Qualifications in project management, business improvement, governance, HR or a related discipline (desirable)
