No VP Area President Department 00435 - University Campus Store Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range $15.00 - $17.00/h DOE Close Date 10/17/2026 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary The University of Utah Campus Store is seeking a Customer Service Administrative Assistant who provides administrative and operational support to the Campus Store Customer Service Manager and Customer Service team. This position is responsible for coordinating routine administrative functions that support daily operations, including employee scheduling, staff communications, training documentation, supply ordering, signage coordination, Post Office inventory support, and other administrative tasks. The Customer Service Administrative Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the department operates efficiently by maintaining accurate records, supporting daily workflows, and assisting with special projects. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Learn more about our mission and values here www.store.utah.edu  Responsibilities • Provide administrative support to the Customer Service Manager and Customer Service leadership team.
• Maintain employee training records, onboarding documentation, and departmental files.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other administrative documents.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, and inventory of office and operational supplies.
• Coordinate the creation, maintenance, and distribution of store signage and operational communications.
• Support Post Office retail inventory by maintaining inventory records, processing orders, and assisting with inventory accuracy.
• Maintain organized filing systems and departmental records, both electronic and paper.
• Answer phones, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
• Assist with meeting preparation, agendas, and follow-up documentation.
• Support departmental projects, process improvements, and other administrative initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, financial, and operational information.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned in support of Customer Service operations. Minimum Qualifications Requires little to no related experience. Preferences • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, office administration, or a related field is preferred.
• One year of administrative or office support experience, preferably in a retail or customer service environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience with scheduling software such as When I Work is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience with inventory records or retail administrative processes is preferred.
