We are seeking an experienced construction professional to join our team. This position offers a tremendous opportunity for a motivated, driven individual to collaborate closely with our principals and project teams, helping to uphold the firm's reputation throughout the construction process. This is not a strictly office-based role while some administrative skills are required; this is primarily a hard-hat, boots-on-the-ground position working hand in hand with contractors on active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with construction documents
  • Collaborate with Principals and project teams to support successful project delivery
  • Work directly with contractors on-site to monitor construction progress and quality
  • Apply knowledge of codes, materials, and construction methods to identify and resolve issues in the field
  • Represent the firm professionally throughout all phases of construction

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction documents and construction contract administration
  • Working knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and the use of materials and assemblies
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the North Carolina and South Carolina region
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of working on an active construction site
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • CSI Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) certification
  • Familiarity with Revit, CAD, and Bluebeam
