Role description:
Undertake a development role, contributing to project work, developing design and engineering
skills and gaining appreciation of Arcadis service lines and businesses. Learn how to apply
theoretical skills from their education within an office and project environment
Role accountabilities:
• Take responsibility for your own safety and understand Arcadis Health and Safety Principles
• Work as a project resource to support the successful delivery of specific outputs individually or
as part of a team
• Build analytical and design skills as well as developing communication skills including technical
writing
• Deliver work that meets Arcadis quality requirements
• Contribute to designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and final working
drawings and input to the production of technical reports – under the supervision of an
experienced engineer
• Improve understanding of the design of individual elements of a project and how these
ultimately interface with the overall project
• Undertake document management including drawing registers as required
• Check own work ahead of production checking
• Check and verify that quality requirements have been achieved in accordance with Arcadis
systems
• Successfully complete assigned technical tasks within allotted time frames
• Commit to receiving on the job technical training by performing tasks, which are under the
direct supervision of more experienced staff within well defined limits
• Commit to and take responsibility for achieving goals
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong and effective communicator
• Working in a team environment
Qualifications & Experience:
• Hold a Degree in Civil Engineering, Masters in Transportation/Highways
Engineering
• Experience required: 0-1 years
