Full-time | Remote (UK) | Occasional travel to office and client sites
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Senior Delivery Consultant, you will lead the implementation and delivery of ActiveControl, our intelligent SAP change management software, helping enterprise clients move from manual, spreadsheet-driven change processes to automated, risk-aware change execution.
You will work directly with clients to assess their SAP change landscape, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and own the configuration and deployment of ActiveControl across complex, multi-layered SAP estates, including containerised environments. You will manage your own projects independently, owning timelines, scope, and client outcomes, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (technical, functional, business) both locally and remotely.
This is an opportunity to help some of the world's largest SAP estates close the Agility Gap, enabling enterprises to deploy SAP changes in hours and days, not weeks or months.
This role is predominantly remote, with no requirement to be office based day to day. Occasional travel to the office and to client sites is required as projects demand, including from time to time for clients with in-person attendance needs.
IS THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?
To help you establish whether this role is for you, these are the key foundational characteristics you will need to be set up for success:
Demonstrable experience in SAP consulting, or a similarly SAP-focused technical role
Experience in SAP Basis working with SAP transports, and with change and release management tools (e.g. SAP Solution Manager ChaRM, SAP Cloud ALM)
Strong understanding of SAP Basis administration, SAP technical architecture, SAP client management, and repository vs customizing object concepts and handling
Strong understanding of SAP role-based security
Knowledge of containerised deployment environments and multi-layered application architectures
Proven ability to manage projects independently, owning timelines, scope, and client outcomes with minimal oversight
Excellent stakeholder management and requirements-gathering skills, translating business needs into effective technical solutions
Strong troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills, with a structured approach to diagnosing root cause and preventing recurrence
Experience supporting deployment cutovers and post-go-live (hypercare) stabilisation
Experience producing and maintaining clear technical documentation for delivery, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer
Awareness of security and compliance requirements relevant to SAP change and data handling, including SOX compliance and segregation of duties
Experience supporting change adoption and communicating change impact to stakeholders during delivery
Willingness to travel to the office and to client sites on an infrequent, project-dependent basis (occasional international travel may be required for certain projects)
Desirable skills:
Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or Azure DevOps integration with SAP
Experience with Fiori/SAP OData gateway
Knowledge of Agile Scrum, DevOps, or similar delivery methodologies
Knowledge of or experience working with ActiveControl
German language speaker
WHAT WE DO
For over 20 years, Basis Technologies has helped enterprises with complex SAP estates manage change with speed, visibility, and control. Our intelligent SAP change management software, including our flagship product ActiveControl, helps SAP teams design, assess, and execute change faster, from business ask to production, without losing control.
ActiveControl identifies change impacts before execution and automates delivery across complex SAP estates, helping teams minimize risk and deliver faster. Built on a modern, containerised architecture, ActiveControl automates the transport and release process, adapts governance to risk level, and enables safe rollback when needed, helping enterprises close the Agility Gap between the pace of business change and the pace of SAP change.
