Job Purpose:


This role is responsible for delivering actionable insights through analysis of market trends, demand patterns, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities across airport locations and airline customers. By collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, supply chain and Finance. The Business Analyst will ensure data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue, enhance margins, and maintain a competitive market position. Beyond daily operations Business Analyst will prepare long and short-term strategies based on ATF price movements, discount levels and market dynamics.

The position also focuses on strengthening business performance by developing analytical frameworks, monitoring key performance indicators, and identifying opportunities for operational and commercial improvements. The Business Analyst contributes to strategic initiatives such as demand forecasting, contract evaluation, business expansion and customer engagement. Ensuring the ATF business operates efficiently while aligning with organizational objectives and evolving industry dynamics.

1. Revenue & Pricing Optimization

 

  • Analyse airport wise ATF pricing considering state wise taxation structures, logistics costs, and competitive positioning.
  • Coordinate for collection of commercial offers and quotes from internal and external stakeholders where applicable.
  • Perform detailed comparative analysis of quotes, cost structures, and commercial terms to support management decisions with financial model along with scenario analysis.
  • Support airline contract negotiations by providing price sensitivity analysis, discount modelling and margin impact assessments.
  • Track and benchmark competitor pricing and commercial practices across airport locations.
  • Align commercial strategies with refinery availability, logistics constraints, inventory positions, and financial controls.

2. Demand Forecasting & Sales Planning

  • Prepare short term and long term ATF demand forecasts based on historical upliftment data, airline schedules, seasonal patterns and market intelligence
  • Coordinate with airport teams to assess throughput capacity and expected volume variations.
  • Identify demand risks and opportunities arising from festivals, tourism cycles, fleet changes, price movements, or geopolitical events.

3. Data Analysis Tools & Systems Utilization

  • Collect, validate and analyse data from multiple sources including SAP ERP, sales reports, logistics data, and financial records.
  • Prepare standardized MIS reports covering sales volumes, revenues, margins, market share, receivables, and operational KPIs.
  • Design dashboards and analytical templates to improve visibility, accuracy and timeliness of business information.
  • Prepare impactful business presentations and management reviews using Microsoft PowerPoint, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Automate routine reports and improve data accuracy through structured templates and system integration.

 

4. Operational Efficiency & Cost Control

  • Monitor throughput vs operational costs (per KL handling cost)
  • Evaluate fuel losses, handling inefficiencies and wastage
  • Support optimization of manpower, storage and logistics costs
  • Facilitate structured discussions and closure of action items across internal stakeholders relating to pricing, supply planning, credit exposure, and customer commitment

5. Manage infrastructure projects for ATF business

  • Track progress of ATF infrastructure projects and business development initiatives to ensure adherence to timelines, costs, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare periodic project status (weekly) updates and dashboards for management review.
  • Interact with multiple stakeholders for project management & execution
  • Ensure compliance to safety practices and standards for safety 
  • Visit to prospective customers for assessing their requirement and building relationships
  • Support feasibility analysis for new airport locations, facilities, or business expansion opportunities.

6. Customer & Contract Management Insights

  • Act as Interface with airline customers, airport operators, regulators, and other external stakeholders for commercial and operational coordination
  • Analyse airline-wise sales, margins, and credit exposure
  • Track contract compliance and volume commitments
  • Support renegotiation with data-backed insights
  • Identify high-value vs low-margin customers
  • Assist in handling customer escalations by providing fact based analysis and resolution support

7. Process development and competency enhancement

  • Seek training and development programs for improvement of technical and behavioural skills

 

8.  Management Review

  • Prepare annual schedule for the Management review .
