An opportunity has presented itself for a Locomotive Asset Management Principal to join our Bulk & Coal business. We're open to candidates based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
What You'll Do
Lead strategic asset management initiatives that optimise the performance, reliability and whole-of-life value of Pacific National's locomotive fleet.
Reporting to the Manager, Locomotive Asset Management, you will:
- Lead the identification, prioritisation and delivery of locomotive asset initiatives that improve fleet performance, reliability and safety.
- Develop compelling business cases and provide financial analysis to support capital investment and funding decisions.
- Manage and report on the locomotive asset portfolio, including project performance, budgets and strategic priorities.
- Develop and maintain Asset Management Plans aligned to ISO55000 principles and Pacific National's Asset Management and Reliability Policy.
- Build Power BI dashboards and reporting to provide meaningful insights into asset performance, financial outcomes and project delivery.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, project teams and maintenance providers to drive continuous improvement and optimise whole-of-life asset performance.
- Influence key stakeholders across the business to ensure locomotive strategies align with operational and commercial objectives.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in Asset Management within rail or another asset-intensive industry.
- Experience developing business cases, managing capital budgets and supporting strategic investment decisions.
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, maintenance strategies and reliability principles.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data and present meaningful insights using reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical, operational and commercial teams.
- Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (such as Maximo) and corporate planning or financial systems will be highly regarded.
- Qualifications in Asset Management or Project Management are desirable.
