About the role
As the Operations Projects Delivery (Metro) Manager, you will play a critical leadership role at the centre of Water Corporation’s statewide operations delivery program.
Reporting to the Head of Operations Services, you will lead the strategic planning, governance, performance, and support functions that underpin a project and maintenance portfolio valued at more than $100 million annually.
This is a highly influential position, responsible for driving consistency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across a diverse range of capital and non-capital delivery programs. Leading a team of project controls, planning and support professionals, you will partner with senior leaders across operations, asset management, finance, procurement and project delivery to ensure programs are prioritised effectively, risks are managed proactively, and outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and sustainably.

This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering a significant portfolio of operational and infrastructure projects that help maintain and improve the services relied upon by millions of Western Australians every day.
As Manager – Operations Projects Delivery (Metro), you will lead a team of project professionals and work closely with senior stakeholders across operations, maintenance, asset management and procurement to successfully deliver a diverse program of works.
You will be accountable for driving project performance, managing risk, optimising resources and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, you will play an important role in shaping project delivery practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring investment decisions translate into tangible operational outcomes.

Your skills and experience
A highly capable project delivery leader with extensive experience managing complex infrastructure, operational or maintenance project portfolios within a large and dynamic organisation. Recognised for building high-performing teams, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and driving a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
Brings strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and a proven ability to balance competing priorities while delivering successful outcomes across multiple projects and programs.
Demonstrated expertise in project and program management, governance, risk management, contract administration and performance reporting, supported by exceptional communication, influencing and leadership skills. A collaborative and proactive approach, combined with sound judgement and a focus on results, enables the successful delivery of projects that achieve operational objectives and create lasting value for customers and communities.
