dormakaba Bulgaria is looking for a QC Specialist for our new production site in Novi Han.

What you will do

Incoming Quality Control 

  • Inspect raw materials, purchased components, and sub-assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications. 
  • Review supplier quality documentation, certificates of conformance, and material test reports. 
  • Perform sampling, dimensional checks, and functional testing as required. 
  • Report non-conformances to procurement and suppliers, and follow up on corrective actions. 
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and supplier performance. 
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding quality expectations, non-conformances, and opportunities for continuous improvement. 

Outgoing Quality Control 

  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer and company quality standards. 
  • Conduct visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and functional tests before shipment. 
  • Document and report product defects and initiate corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Approve or reject products for dispatch based on quality compliance

Process and Quality Improvement 

  • Analyze trends in defects, deviations, and customer complaints to identify root causes. 
  • Collaborate with production teams, engineering, and suppliers to implement process improvements. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and internal and external quality audits

Documentation and Reporting 

  • Maintain inspection records, test results, and non-conformance reports. 
  • Prepare periodic quality reports for management, including incoming and outgoing inspection metrics. 
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality management system and relevant quality standards. 

Compliance and Standards 

  • Ensure all quality processes align with international quality standards and customer-specific requirements. 
  • Stay updated on industry quality standards, tools, and best practices. 
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections as needed. 
What we require
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in assembly, manufacturing, or production environments. 
  • Hands-on experience with incoming and outgoing inspection, testing, and measurement of materials and finished products. 
  • Experience in documenting inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions. 
  • Familiarity with supplier quality monitoring (reporting defects, verifying corrective actions) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. 
  • Knowledge of quality standards, inspection techniques, and measurement tools. 
  • Understanding of quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards. 
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and basic data analysis (Excel, ERP, or quality software). 
  • Familiarity with statistical process control is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Good communication skills, particularly for reporting quality issues and coordinating with production teams and suppliers.
