Our Transport team partners with government and private clients on everything from local intersection upgrades to major freeway interchanges, active transport corridors and precinct-scale developments.
What you’ll do
As our new Transport Engineer, you will:
Contribute to the planning, analysis and concept design of traffic and transport solutions for road, active transport, and precinct projects
Lead transport feasibility studies, transport planning strategies, and traffic impact assessments
Provide trusted advice to clients such as transport agencies and private developers, including participation in workshops and presentations
Coordinate traffic and transport inputs into multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with road design, civil, planning and digital teams
Mentor junior traffic/transport engineers, helping them grow their technical capability and consulting skills
Contribute to bids, client relationship development and new service offerings, including digital tools and automation in transport engineering workflows
What you’ll bring
You’ll have a genuine passion for re-imagining how people and goods move through cities and regions, and enjoy solving complex transport problems in a collaborative way.
Along with your curiosity and drive to keep learning, you will bring:
Degree qualifications in civil / transport engineering or a related discipline
Significant experience in traffic engineering and transport planning, ideally gained on Australian or New Zealand projects
Sound knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. Austroads, State government requirements, etc)
Demonstrated experience leading traffic inputs on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, including client-facing delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
Chartered status (CPEng) or equivalent, or a clear pathway towards it
