We at Nova, a leading telecommunications provider at Greece, are seeking a Chief Editor to join Novasports editorial team. The role is responsible for leading
and coordinating a team of journalists, managing the daily editorial workflow and supporting the
production of sports content across Novasports’s digital platforms and sports programming
The ideal candidate possesses a strong journalism background, experience in team coordination, and
an excellent knowledge of current sports affairs.
What you will do:
• Coordinate and support the daily operations of a team of journalists and reporters.
• Assign topics and monitor the progress of the team's editorial assignments.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of content.
• Edit and approve material before publication or use in productions.
• Manage the daily content flow for Novasports.gr and other digital platforms.
• Coordinate editorial support for sports programs, ensuring the availability of reports,
statistics, commentary, and other supporting materials.
• Collaborate with presenters, producers, and other content teams to ensure the smooth
execution of broadcasts.
• Monitor sports news and adjust team priorities according to editorial needs.
• Provide guidance and ongoing feedback to team members.
• Contribute to shift planning and the effective allocation of workload
It would be great if you have:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a sports or news media organization.
• Experience in team coordination or editorial content management will be considered a
strong asset.
• Extensive knowledge of Greek and international sports news and current affairs.
• Excellent command of the Greek language and outstanding copy-editing skills.
• Very good command of the English language.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital content management tools.
• Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
