We are looking for an experienced Embodied Carbon Specialist background in architecture or engineering to complement our friendly and dynamic sustainability team. Based in any of our studios, you will have the opportunity to lead embodied carbon assessments and drive low carbon design strategies across projects in the UK and Ireland.
You will exhibit the following skills / experience:
• The equivalent of at least 3-5 years’ experience in embodied carbon analysis and life cycle assessment within the built environment.
• Proficiency with carbon assessment tools such as OneClick LCA, eTool, or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks, including RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment Methodology, EN 15978, and LETI guidance.
• Ability to conduct lifecycle assessments and carbon footprint analyses to evaluate and optimise material choices and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with sustainable material databases and environmental product declarations (EPDs).
• Experience working with BIM (Revit) and material quantification.
• Assist the creation of internal tools for early stage embodied carbon calculation and optioneering and tracking the performance of our projects
• Assist in the creation and delivery of internal training and resources for our architects and designer
• Good communication skills; verbal, written and presentation, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team at all stages of the architectural process.
• Is self-motivated with a passion for decarbonisation, sustainable materials, and innovation in the built environment.
