Strategic Leadership & Standardization Roadmap
-
Define and execute management, development, and standardization of standard components/parts such as bolts, nuts, plastic clips, etc., used across multiple projects
-
Perform technical assessments for standard part development
-
Evaluate technical solutions, manufacturability, feasibility, and risks during the development and trial phases
-
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Standard Parts Engineers
-
Participate in the establishment and continuous improvement of standard part management processes and related technical standards
Engineering Change & Lifecycle Management:
-
Oversee and govern the DCR (Design Change Request) and ECR (Engineering Change Request) processes related to standard parts, coordinating with relevant departments to handle engineering changes
-
Lead critical change management reviews to minimize cost impacts and manufacturing disruptions
Supplier & Purchasing Collaboration (Cost Optimization):
-
Partner with Global Purchasing/Procurement to identify strategic suppliers, support supplier technical audits, and drive Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to optimize BOM costs
-
Resolve high-level technical disputes or quality bottlenecks with tier-1 suppliers during trial and SOP (Start of Production) phases.
-
Coordinate and communicate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers during trial and SOP phases
