Ko mātou tēnei | This is UsAs a Senior Data Engineer, you'll help modernise and evolve BNZ's technology landscape by supporting and enhancing .NET applications, SQL Server databases, data pipelines and legacy platforms. You'll play a key role in driving automation, improving operational efficiency and enabling scalable data solutions across the bank.
Mō te Tūranga | About the RoleIn this role, you'll:
Develop, maintain and modernise .NET applications and MS SQL Server stored procedures.
Support and enhance legacy platforms, including mainframe environments.
Build and maintain automated data pipelines and orchestration solutions.
Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices.
Contribute to infrastructure, security, deployment and operational support activities.
Analyse data and work with teams across Technology to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
We're looking for someone with 7+ years' experience in Data Engineering, DevOps Engineering or Software Engineering, with experience in:
.NET development and application modernisation.
MS SQL Server development and optimisation.
Automated data pipelines and Snowflake.
CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code and automation.
DevOps and Agile delivery practices.
Data modelling and data analysis.
It would be beneficial to have experience with mainframe platforms, banking environments, and tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps.
You'll be a collaborative problem solver who enjoys working across diverse technologies and driving continuous improvement.
