Nosco is looking for a Maintenance Technician on first shift at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility.
As an employee owner in this position, you will oversee mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance and repairs to positively impact efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, profitability, and safety.
In this role, you will…
- Work with Operators in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronics problems on production equipment. Will make repairs to equipment as needed.
- Performs and documents equipment upgrades, equipment replacements, and equipment part replacements.
- Obtains quotes, provides recommendations, schedules and supervises facility maintenance work conducted by outside vendors. Communicates with Nosco management and the property management group regarding all facility repairs, damages, and modifications.
- Participates in the installation of new equipment.
- Orders and maintains spare parts inventory for production equipment and the facility.
- Verifies the completion of monthly preventive maintenance programs on all presses as outlined in the cGMP Manual and other related cGMP documents.
- Personally adheres to all company safety procedures and regulations, as well as all OSHA guidelines, while performing duties.
- Responsible for being a life-long learner: Keeping up with technology, learning new skills when and where necessary, advising management on important trends or developments.
- Keeps maintenance shop in a clean, orderly and “audit-ready” condition.
- Available “on call” for occasional equipment breakdown emergencies.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Success factors…
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a lean / printing environment.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with individuals throughout the company.
- Experience with welding and machining.
- Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Long periods of concentration.
- Speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.

Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- 10 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a Lean/printing environment
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Technical printing knowledge
- Computer literacy and strong communication skills
- Demonstrates maturity and leadership
- Experience with welding (aluminum a plus) and machining (mill and lathe work)
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings, highly beneficial
- Lean and technical education helpful
