At our Wiri Distribution Centre, every part we dispatch helps keep our customers' businesses moving. As our Warehouse Team Leader, you'll lead a team responsible for ensuring products are received, picked, packed, and dispatched safely, accurately, and on time.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll motivate your team, drive operational excellence, and foster a positive team culture while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Location: Wiri, Auckland

Reporting to: Distribution Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:30am – 5:00pm

What you'll be doing

As the Warehouse Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of our outbound warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and direction to permanent team members and temporary staff.
• Supervising and ensuring accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders, ensuring daily operational targets are achieved and all warehouse transactions are processed accurately.
• Managing daily order flow to achieve same-day shipping wherever possible.
• Acting as the first point of escalation for urgent or non-routine customer requests, including priority freight and special deliveries.
• Supporting stock management activities, stock accuracy, and annual stocktakes.
• Representing the company professionally while delivering outstanding customer service by communicating with customers (face-to-face & email).

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced warehouse leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional service.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience leading or supervising a warehouse or distribution team.
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organisational skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• High levels of numeracy and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• A commitment to workplace health and safety.
• An OSH Forklift Licence -Reach, Stock-picker & Counterbalance (highly desirable).
