Join us as our new Data Analyst / Business Intelligence
The Data Analyst supports Gold Avenue's Head of Business Intelligence in keeping the company's data and reporting accurate, consistent and accessible. The role covers data quality checks, tracking maintenance, pipeline monitoring, and maintains the KPIs, dashboards and analytical models that power weekly, monthly and executive reporting. It also serves as a first point of contact for cross-team data requests, helping other departments get, understand and act on the data they need.
Your missionData quality & tracking support
Data quality checks: Run routine checks to catch and flag discrepancies between tools, escalating issues that need deeper fixes.
Tracking maintenance: Help maintain tracking standards and naming conventions across Mixpanel, GA4 and Google Tag Manager, keeping the tracking white book up to date.
Pipeline support: Help run and monitor the existing data transformation pipelines (SQL), with senior support on more complex changes.
BI evolution: Contribute to the ongoing Looker Studio to Tableau migration, rebuilding data connections and dashboards alongside the Head of BI.
Roadmap Contribution: Contribute quarterly to BI/data roadmap prioritisation and process/tooling improvements.
Integration Management: Support third-party data integrations, tracking and pipeline adjustments during IT system changes.
Performance Reporting & Analysis
KPI Reporting: Prepare and update the KPIs for the Weekly Business Meeting.
Dashboard maintenance: Keep existing dashboards current and accurate, and help build new views as needs arise.
(CRO) Funnel and conversion analysis. Support CVR and funnel tracking by market and segment, monitor drop-off rates, and report on A/B test results and conversion uplift
Analytical modelling support: Support and maintain the analytical models (LTV, retention cohorts, ROAS) under the guidance of the Head of BI.
Forecasting & Trend Analysis: Support Head of BI in forecast and trend analysis for planning and target-setting
Data Service Center & Cross-team Support
Data Request handling: Act as a first point of contact for cross-department data requests, resolving straightforward tickets and escalating complex ones.
Ad-hoc analysis. Assist teams with queries, attribution questions and deep-dive analyses.
Self-service enablement: Help & empower teams to read and interpret dashboards on their own through documentation and informal training, reducing ad-hoc requests over time.
Stakeholder partnership: Build strong working relationships with Marketing, CRM and Product to anticipate data needs.
Languages & Experience
Native-level French and English.
Bachelor degree in IT/Business/Finance or equivalent
1 to 3 years in a data or analytics role, or a strong graduate with relevant internships and project work.
Technical
Solid SQL and a working understanding of how databases and data warehouses are structured.
Some Python for data transformation and automation, or a clear willingness to grow it.
Exposure to BI tools (Tableau or Looker Studio) and an appetite to develop dashboard skills.
Basic understanding of key ecommerce performance metrics and web tracking tools.
Comfortable in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
