We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications through robust test planning, execution, and automation. In this role, you will define and maintain test scenarios and cases aligned to requirements, execute system, integration, and regression testing across environments, and collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, and other testers to deliver high-quality releases. You will contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, and reporting, and support release readiness by providing clear visibility on test results, defects, and risks. You will also use AI-assisted testing tools and generative AI to enhance productivity, accelerate test design and automation, improve defect analysis, and strengthen quality outcomes. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience applying AI capabilities in quality engineering and a strong understanding of responsible AI principles, including data privacy, fairness, accessibility, and explainability. You will be handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) which requires adherence to applicable data privacy, security, and compliance standards of respective markets.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • You will execute system, integration, regression, and exploratory tests across environments.

  • You will develop and maintain reusable automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

  • You will collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to ensure testable requirements and reliable releases.

  • You will log, triage, retest, and close defects with clear evidence, impact, and traceability.

  • You will use AI-assisted testing tools and generative AI to accelerate test design, automate coverage, improve defect analysis, and streamline reporting and documentation.

  • You will help evaluate and integrate AI-powered quality capabilities such as intelligent test generation, anomaly detection, predictive risk analysis, or self-healing automation.

  • You will report quality status, defects, and release risks to stakeholders with clear recommendations.

  • You will follow secure testing practices and requirements for handling PII, including responsible AI considerations for privacy, fairness, accessibility, and explainability.

Required experience & competencies

  • 5+ years of quality engineering or software testing experience.
  • Test Design & Execution: Strong experience creating test plans, cases, scripts, traceability, and end-to-end validation across system, integration, and regression testing.
  • Automation & Tooling: Experience with automated testing for UI and APIs, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining reliable automation suites.
  • Defect & Quality Management: Ability to manage the defect lifecycle, produce quality metrics, and communicate risks and release readiness clearly.
  • Data & API Validation: Experience validating backend data with SQL and testing REST/SOAP APIs and cross-service integrations.
  • AI-Assisted Testing: Proven experience using AI-assisted software development or testing tools and workflows to improve testing productivity and quality outcomes.
  • Generative AI Enablement: Demonstrated ability to apply generative AI to improve test design, test data creation, automation development, defect analysis, and reporting.
  • Responsible AI: Solid understanding of responsible AI principles, including data privacy, fairness, accessibility, and explainability in quality engineering practices.
  • Enterprise AI Integration: Hands-on experience evaluating or integrating AI-powered quality capabilities through APIs, SDKs, or platform services.
  • Security & Privacy Mindset: Understanding of secure testing basics and careful handling of PII and regulated test data.
  • Nice-to-Haves: Playwright or similar automation tools; familiarity with performance testing concepts and tooling; exposure to cloud-hosted test environments; and experience with intelligent test generation or self-healing automation.
