Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and road tests to evaluate operating condition and identify concerns.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues and perform repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Communicate effectively with management and the Parts Department to identify and obtain required parts.
- Accurately document inspection findings, repair recommendations, and all work performed on repair orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Immediately report any safety hazards, incidents, or concerns to management.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and manufacturer repair guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs as required.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Automotive technical school education, college coursework, or at least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
- ASE-certified technician.
- Valid Smog License.
- Experience using computerized diagnostic tools and repair documentation systems.
- Toyota Technician Certification is a plus.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position.
- 8-hour shifts.
- Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
