About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists with this joint appointment which provides an opportunity for a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in cardiac pacing and arrhythmia management to contribute across both a tertiary metropolitan service (SVHM) and a regional health service (GVH).
Key duties:
•Provide clinical oversight of pacemaker and cardiac device clinics at both sites:
SVHM: 3.5 hours per week
GVH: Up to 7 hours per week
• Supervise cardiac technologists/scientists and nursing staff in device interrogation and programming of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED)
• Review device data and ensure appropriate clinical management plans
• Support complex device troubleshooting and clinical decision-making
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Contribute to quality assurance, safety, and accreditation processes within device services
Your Contribution
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology
• AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner with specialist recognition
• Demonstrated expertise in cardiac pacing and device management
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
