About this role:
Summary
Under the supervision of the Community Manager, the Activity Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engaging social, educational, recreational, and wellness programs that promote resident participation, foster a sense of community, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents. This position develops a diverse calendar of activities designed to meet the interests and needs of the community while creating an inclusive, welcoming, and enjoyable environment.
The Activity Director organizes and facilitates events, coordinates with vendors, entertainers, and volunteers, manages program budgets and supplies, and promotes activities through effective communication with residents. This role also gathers resident feedback, evaluates program success, and continuously develops new opportunities that encourage social interaction, lifelong learning, and active living.
The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, organized, and passionate about building community relationships. Strong communication, event planning, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with residents, staff, and outside partners to deliver high-quality programs and events.
Hourly pay range:
$26.00 - $29.00 DOE
What you'll do: Includes but not limited to:
- Develop programs that enhance resident satisfaction and support retention goals.
- Create and implement a monthly activities calendar and newsletter.
- Plan and manage the activities budget.
- Supervise the Activities Assistant and ensure all event logistics including setup, breakdown, supplies, and safety considerations meet company expectations.
- Design promotional materials for events and programs and promote activities through community platforms, social media, and digital communication tools.
- Comply with company accounting policies, including income tracking, expense control, and petty cash management.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety guidelines and company risk management practices.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold company policies, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Partner with leasing and maintenance teams to support community-wide initiatives and events.
- Represent the organization professionally in all interactions.
- Assist in promoting CloudTen Residential.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management based on business needs.
What you'll need:
Educations and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in recreation, hospitality, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in planning and coordinating events or activities, preferably in a residential or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to utilize property management software, email platforms, and basic reporting tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse populations and foster an inclusive environment.
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring residents’ needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.
