Financial & Operational Leadership
- Develops and monitors the performance of financial and operational plans which support the overall objectives of the hotel and operating division; develops the annual budget and business plan, and makes recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the hotel and ensure brand loyalty.
- Measures the effectiveness of broad-based business plans and revenue management efforts to maximize the number of market segments reached and diversify revenue sources (rooms, F&B, events).
- Maximizes room revenues and profits by anticipating and planning for market shifts. Ensures the development of strategic marketing opportunities and tactical sales plans.
- Maximizes food and beverage revenues by ensuring optimal use of banquet/outlet space and most cost-effective management of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets.
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Oversees the delivery of great services to all guests ensuring the utmost quality and care is delivered, including prompt response to requests and the effective resolution of all complaints to the satisfaction of guests and creating Great Memories as the vision.
- Handles any hotel emergencies on behalf of the hotel, including incidents and disasters, develops a proper media response team, and ensures corporate teams are fully informed during major emergencies.
- Leads social media management strategies to enhance brand visibility, monitor online reputation, and drive direct bookings. Collaborates with marketing teams to create compelling content and respond to guest feedback timely across digital platforms.
- Compliance, Safety & Asset Management
- Ensures product quality and service standards are met in all areas of the hotel (physical appearance, maintenance, cleanliness). Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance programs to protect physical assets.
- Oversees security functions to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and assets. Ensures compliance with brand standards.
- Conducts regular fire drills and ensures quality, fire, and life safety standards are fully implemented and never compromised for profit.
- Team Development & Workplace Culture
- Fosters a positive work environment through mentorship, town hall meetings, performance feedback, and zero tolerance for harassment.
- Establishes and maintains a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training, development, pay/benefit administration, and compliance with policies and local labor regulations.

- Ensures proficiency in accounting software, payroll systems, project management tools, and digital platforms for operational reporting.
- Works closely with regional teams to optimize staffing levels relative to productivity and volume. Maximizes training initiatives to drive efficiencies and enhance performance.
- Stakeholder & Ownership Relations
- Develops a trusting and respectful business partnership with ownership by communicating effectively and meeting/exceeding expectations in operations management and financial performance.
- Understands owners’ ROI expectations, proactively anticipates needs, and balances LHG’s and ownership interests to create mutual value.
- Builds relationships with government agencies for licensing, regulatory compliance, and community/media inquiries.
- Pre-Opening Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive market research on hotel investment trends and competitive positioning.
- Develops pre-opening schedules, operational policies, staffing plans, salary/welfare plans, and marketing strategies.
- Oversees procurement (FF&E), construction quality control, and government communication for licenses/certifications.
- Establishes organizational structures, internal workflows, and emergency response plans.
