Requirements

In this role, you will conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various construction machinery and heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractors. You will troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and HVAC components to accurately identify and resolve issues. Additionally, you will engage in fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembling parts to ensure the durability and reliability of equipment. Maintaining detailed service records and interpreting schematics will be essential, as will ensuring that all repairs comply with OEM standards. You will utilize both power and hand tools to perform repairs with precision while strictly following safety protocols. Routine maintenance on farm machinery, construction equipment, and heavy-duty trucks will also be part of your responsibilities, aimed at maximizing operational uptime. Furthermore, you will assist with heavy lifting operations, employing appropriate skills in crane or forklift handling. Candidates should possess proven experience as a shop mechanic, particularly with heavy construction machinery or industrial equipment in the oil and gas industry or related fields. A strong foundation in diesel engine diagnostics and repair is essential, including expertise in troubleshooting air brakes, transmissions, suspensions, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics for complex systems across various machinery types is also required, along with experience in fabrication techniques such as welding.
