Audubon is currently seeking a General Foreman.  The General Foreman manages the efficient flow and operations for multiple foreman and their crews throughout the scope of the project

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret and communicate contract documents, drawings, and specifications to crews.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily self-perform work activities.
  • Lead and direct foremen and craft workers to meet production, quality, and schedule goals.
  • Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, and material needs with the Superintendent.
  • Track daily production and report progress, constraints, and manpower needs.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance, including LOTO procedures.
  • Conduct daily job hazard analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks.
  • Prepare, review, distribute and/or maintain all required installation documentation.
  • Ensure all work performed meets federal, state, county, local codes, and contract documents.
  • Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in proper working conditions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain quality control of installed work and address deficiencies.
  • Interface with other trades, subcontractors, and field supervision.
  • Mentor and develop foremen and craft employees.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

  • All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Construction safety practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
  • MUST have Commercial Driving License.
