About the role
Lifeblood's Strategic Transformation & Readiness team is strengthening its capability across strategy, transformation and delivery to help Lifeblood optimise today and build for tomorrow - exploring new opportunities and creating lasting value for Lifeblood and the communities we serve.
Lifeblood has already invested significantly in building AI literacy and capability and now we’re shaping our next chapter of creating an AI-powered workplace. With strong executive support and a growing pipeline of opportunities, we're looking for someone to help determine where we should invest, and how AI, automation and intelligent systems can help reimagine parts of our organisation. This includes opportunities spanning workflow automation, decision support, copilots, intelligent systems and emerging agentic AI applications.
We're looking for a Product Leader with real-world experience taking AI-enabled products from idea to pilot, helping organisations navigate ambiguity, validate value and make informed investment decisions. If you've led product squads, balanced commercial outcomes with technical feasibility, and know how to turn emerging technology into practical business impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a cross-functional squad focused on designing, building and testing new solutions in the AI, automation and intelligent system space.
- Set squad priorities and manage a value-led pipeline aligned to strategic and operational outcomes.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities that improve decision-making, efficiency, service quality, employee experience and risk management.
- Shape initiatives from problem definition through discovery, prototyping, pilot delivery and recommendation.
- Apply strong product judgement to determine which opportunities should progress, pause, stop or scale.
- Develop business cases, evidence packs and executive recommendations to support investment and governance decisions.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making across business, digital, data, operational and clinical teams.
- Provide leadership and coaching to squad members while ensuring initiatives are delivered responsibly with appropriate governance, risk and adoption considerations.
Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Senior product management experience leading and delivering AI-enabled, digital product, innovation or strategic initiative portfolios in complex organisations
- Proven experience taking AI or emerging technology products from idea through discovery, prototype, pilot and validated outcomes
- Strong technical understanding of AI, automation, intelligent systems and emerging technologies — with enough fluency to work confidently with technical teams
- Commercial and strategic judgement, including the ability to assess value creation, viability, feasibility, risk, readiness and investment trade-offs
- Experience leading cross-functional squads and enabling high-performing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability, particularly with senior leaders and executive audiences
- Ability to define vision, create clarity in ambiguity and translate complex ideas into practical decisions and delivery pathways
- Experience preparing executive-ready recommendations, business cases, governance materials and evidence packs
- Strong understanding of delivery, adoption, change impacts and benefits realisation
