About the role  

 

The primary purpose of this role is to provide clinical nursing subject matter expertise for the provision of donor post-test result management and counselling, and to assist in other relevant areas of Medical Services as required.

 

 The Clinical Nurse Consultant will primarily work with Medical Officers, Specialists, administration staff and Manufacturing scientists to provide result management and post-test discussion for donors relating to abnormal donor test results.

  • Post graduate certificate in sexual health &/or equivalent experience
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively use problem solving, change management, and conflict resolution frameworks
  • Customer service experience including post-test discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise a range of computer systems
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate clinical knowledge into clinical practice
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively, set priorities, and complete tasks on time
  • Proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position
  • Minimum 5 years post registration experience in relevant area of practice
