We're looking for an experienced analytics leader to join our Financial Crime team and help shape the future of intelligence-led risk management. Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime Intelligence & Analytics, you'll lead the development of data, analytics and modelling capabilities that underpin our financial crime and fraud risk framework.

 

This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with strategic influence—transforming complex data into meaningful insights that support critical business decisions, strengthen risk management and help protect customers from financial crime and fraud.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the design and delivery of financial crime and fraud analytics, providing trend analysis, behavioural insights and risk intelligence to support enterprise risk assessments and decision-making.
  • Develop, enhance and monitor analytical models, risk indicators and key metrics across customer, transaction and fraud risk, ensuring outputs are reliable, explainable and fit for purpose.
  • Champion data quality and governance by overseeing data integrity, lineage and controls, partnering with enterprise data teams to improve data quality and address gaps.
  • Work closely with Financial Crime Intelligence partners to translate complex data into actionable intelligence, delivering evidence-based insights that inform strategic priorities and risk decisions.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, reporting and analytical tools that provide clear, timely and meaningful insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement across analytics capabilities by identifying opportunities for automation, advanced analytics and innovative approaches that enhance predictive insights and operational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships across Risk, Technology, Data, Compliance and business teams to embed a data-driven approach to financial crime risk management.

 

What you'll bring

  • At least eight years' experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Data Science, ideally within Financial Services. Experience in Financial Crime or Fraud Analytics is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong expertise in data analytics, modelling, data governance and working with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience developing meaningful reporting, dashboards and analytical solutions using modern visualisation and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, patterns, anomalies and emerging financial crime or fraud risks.
  • The ability to translate complex technical analysis into clear, practical insights that influence business and risk decisions.
  • Experience working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to solve complex business problems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present insights to senior leaders in a clear and compelling way.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or a related discipline. Experience with AML/CTF, fraud analytics or risk management frameworks will be highly regarded.
