6 months' contractor - Document Checker, Structured Trade Finance

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate documentary checks for trade finance transactions within agreed service levels.
• Review customer submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with trade rules and bank requirements.
• Conduct sanctions and compliance screening in accordance with regulatory and bank policies.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management standards.
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders to provide transaction updates and resolve trade-related queries.
• Escalate discrepancies, exceptions, and operational risks promptly.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Banking, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, and URC.
• 1-3 years of Trade Finance Operations experience covering import and export products.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Team player who is resilient, adaptable, and customer-focused.
