JOB POSITION: Trade Officer
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Trade Officer supports trade and commercial activities through data analysis, pricing administration, reporting, and coordination with internal teams to ensure the effective execution of trade-related actions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring trade performance and market developments to support business objectives.
- Support pricing activities, quotations, and rate updates in accordance with trade guidelines.
- Prepare regular reports and data analysis to support trade and commercial activities.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and regional teams to ensure accurate execution of trade-related actions.
- Maintain trade information, pricing records, and commercial data in company systems.
- Support capacity management and allocation activities to optimize vessel utilization.
- Assist in the implementation of commercial initiatives and trade campaigns.
- Perform other trade-related administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field.
- Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, trade management, pricing, or commercial operations.
- Experience in market analysis, commercial planning, or trade support is an advantage.
- Knowledge
- Knowledge of shipping and logistics operations, trade management processes, and pricing concepts.
- Basic understanding of trade lanes, vessel capacity management, and commercial performance metrics.
- Skills & Competencies
- Good command of spoken and written English (Minimum TOEIC score: 750).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
