JOB POSITION: Trade Officer

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Trade Officer supports trade and commercial activities through data analysis, pricing administration, reporting, and coordination with internal teams to ensure the effective execution of trade-related actions.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring trade performance and market developments to support business objectives.
  • Support pricing activities, quotations, and rate updates in accordance with trade guidelines.
  • Prepare regular reports and data analysis to support trade and commercial activities.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and regional teams to ensure accurate execution of trade-related actions.
  • Maintain trade information, pricing records, and commercial data in company systems.
  • Support capacity management and allocation activities to optimize vessel utilization.
  • Assist in the implementation of commercial initiatives and trade campaigns.
  • Perform other trade-related administrative and operational tasks as assigned.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, trade management, pricing, or commercial operations.
    • Experience in market analysis, commercial planning, or trade support is an advantage.
  • Knowledge
    • Knowledge of shipping and logistics operations, trade management processes, and pricing concepts.
    • Basic understanding of trade lanes, vessel capacity management, and commercial performance metrics.
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Good command of spoken and written English (Minimum TOEIC score: 750).
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
