EY-ROAM is a leading provider of electricity market modelling services in Australia and New Zealand. Our role in the energy industry is to provide evidence-based insights, enabling our clients to make informed decisions amidst uncertainty and change.

 

Our clients span the energy value chain including renewable energy and storage developers, energy sector investors, transmission and distribution network service providers, retailers, regulators and governments. Our market models use a physics first approach where representation of the transmission network is key.

Due to growing demand for our transaction support services, we are seeking a candidate with 7-10 years in the energy industry, with a focus on fast paced electricity market modelling experience to join our team as a Senior Manager.

 

This is a position based in Warrang – Sydney.

Your key responsibilities

 

As a leader of the energy market modelling transaction team, you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships,
  • Contribute to the evolution and delivery of our ‘fast response’ services,
  • Help clients understand the commercial quality of renewable energy and storage Projects,
  • In parallel with client engagements, have the opportunity to focus your learning and development on key areas of interest.

Skills and attributes for success 

 

We are seeking candidates that possess some or all of the following attributes:

 

  • Relevant tertiary education in a discipline such as engineering, mathematics, economics, physics, or computer science,
  • High numeracy levels with demonstrated experience in manipulating and analysing large data sets efficiently and with the ability to deal with ambiguities within data,
  • Demonstrated experience to lead teams under fast paced and evolving environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully convey meaningful insights to clients and colleagues,
  • Develop client relationships and propose supporting work accordingly.
  • Excellent knowledge of NEM characteristics that are relevant to Project performance (MLF, Congestion risk, pricing outlooks)
