We are looking for an experienced mid/senior  Google Workspace Engineer to own, administer, and continuously improve Google Workspace environments across multiple client organizations.

This role is ideal for a hands-on Google Workspace professional who can deploy, manage, troubleshoot, secure, and optimize Google Workspace environments while delivering exceptional support to end users and client stakeholders.

The Google Workspace Engineer will work closely with internal technical teams and clients to manage Google Workspace administration, migrations, security, collaboration tools, and identity management. This person will serve as a primary technical resource for Google Workspace, ensuring platform reliability, security, and operational excellence across multiple customer environments.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary administrator for Google Workspace environments, including user lifecycle management, licensing, organizational units, groups, and administrative policies.
  • Configure, maintain, and support Gmail, Google Drive, Shared Drives, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Chat, Google Groups, and Google Vault.
  • Perform Google Workspace migrations from Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, or other email platforms with minimal business disruption.
  • Configure and manage domain verification, DNS records, MX records, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for secure email delivery.
  • Implement and maintain Google Workspace security best practices, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Context-Aware Access, Endpoint Management, Security Center, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • Troubleshoot email delivery issues, account synchronization problems, authentication failures, collaboration issues, and application access.
  • Support identity management integrations with third-party identity providers, including Google Cloud Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and other SSO platforms.
  • Configure and maintain Google Workspace APIs and third-party integrations with business applications.
  • Develop scripts and automation to simplify administrative tasks using GAM, Google Apps Script, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Support Chrome Enterprise management and endpoint administration where applicable.
  • Participate in client onboarding, tenant assessments, migrations, and technical projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
  • Monitor platform health, licensing, security posture, and administrative activity across multiple customer environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend improvements, implement best practices, and optimize client environments.
  • Stay current with Google Workspace features, security enhancements, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP), supporting multiple client environments.
  • Previous experience providing Google Workspace and/or Amazon Workspace support.
  • Experience supporting multiple customer tenants simultaneously.
  • Experience performing Google Workspace migrations from Microsoft 365 or Exchange.
  • Experience administering Chrome Enterprise or Google Endpoint Management.
  • Experience integrating Google Workspace with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, or other identity providers.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Identity.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using GAM, Google Apps Script, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments.
  • Google Workspace certifications such as Professional Google Workspace Administrator or other relevant Google Cloud certifications.
  • AWS certifications or experience supporting Amazon WorkSpaces are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
